A painting company does not have a lead problem so much as a calendar problem. Most owners we speak with can name the exact weeks their crews stood around in March, and the exact weeks in July when they turned down exteriors because they were booked solid. Painting.Marketing exists to flatten that curve: more estimates in the months you need them, a higher share of those estimates signed, and steadier work for the crews you have already trained.

Two numbers decide a painter's year

Before any ad or website, we ask for two figures: estimates booked and estimates signed. Everything else follows from them.

Here is a worked example you can check with your own numbers. Say your average residential repaint is worth $5,000 and you sign 3 of every 10 estimates. Each estimate is then worth about $1,500 in revenue. If an ad campaign costs $90 per booked estimate, you are spending 6% of the job's expected value to get in the door, which most painting companies can afford. If it costs $400 per estimate, the numbers only work for large exteriors or commercial work.

Now change one thing. If better follow-up lifts your close rate from 30% to 40%, every estimate becomes worth $2,000 and the same $90 is cheaper still. That is why our estimate pipeline and follow-up work often pays back before any new traffic does. The estimate maths guide walks through this with a blank worksheet.

What we do for painting companies

We plan, build and run the parts of a painting company's marketing that produce estimate requests, and we advise owners on pricing, positioning and seasonal planning. Five services cover most of what a painter needs:

Not every company needs all five. The services overview explains how to choose, and in what order.

We market painters; we don't paint

Painting.Marketing is a marketing and business consulting service. We are not a painting contractor. We don't prep, prime, spray or roll anything, we don't send estimators to homes, and we never bid against the companies we work for.

That matters for a practical reason. Every hour we spend is on the parts of the business that happen before the drop cloths go down: being found, being trusted, being booked, and being remembered when the neighbour asks who did the house.

Why the painting calendar needs its own plan

Exterior painting in most of Canada runs on a short, weather-bound window, and homeowners decide earlier than many painters expect. The people who want their siding done in June are often comparing quotes in March and April. A company that starts advertising when the first warm day arrives is usually advertising to people who have already chosen.

Interior work, strata repaints and commercial jobs behave differently. Interiors can fill winter if you market them as a winter service. Strata councils approve budgets at annual meetings, sometimes a year ahead. Commercial clients often want work done on weekends or after hours. Our month-by-month exterior season calendar sets out when to spend, what to say, and when to stop.

Proof of method, from our HVAC work

We don't have painting case studies to show you yet, and we won't invent any. What we can show are results from our HVAC work, built with the same method we use for painters: local search, useful content, clear service pages and disciplined follow-up.

HVAC is a seasonal trade with a visible busy season and a slow one, which is why the lessons carry over. The results page explains what transfers to painting and what doesn't.

Who is behind Painting.Marketing

Painting.Marketing is part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group of companies, a Canadian group headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia. It is led by Ali Sedighi, MBA in Technology Management, who has more than 17 years of digital marketing experience starting in 2007 and has built 150+ live HVAC websites. Our parent brand for the trades is Trades.Agency. You can read more on the about page.

We work with painting companies in every province and territory, from strata-heavy Metro Vancouver to Quebec, where French-language advertising rules apply. See the areas we serve.

What it costs and how to start

Our plans begin at $1,999 a month, or $1,499 a month if you pay annually, with GST/HST added by province. Plans run month-to-month with 30 days' notice to cancel. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.

The first step is a free 30-minute conversation. Bring last year's estimate count and signed-job count if you have them, even rough ones. Call, text or email, and see the contact page for what to include.

Services

Marketing services for painting companies

How it works

  1. Send us your season in numbers

Your average job value, how many estimates you ran last year, how many you signed, and which months your crews sat idle. That is enough for a first diagnosis.

  2. See the plan and its arithmetic

You get a written plan that shows where the next estimates should come from, what each one should cost, and which months to push or pause.

  3. Talk it through with a person

No forms and no sales script. Call, text or email; you'll talk to a senior strategist.

Frequently asked questions

What is Painting.Marketing?

Painting.Marketing is a Canadian digital marketing and business consulting service for painting contractors. Ali Sedighi, MBA, leads it from our Vancouver, BC headquarters as part of the Sedighi.ca and SAZ.ca group.

Do you paint houses or send crews?

No. We are not a painting contractor. We market and advise painting companies; we never paint, prep, quote or supervise jobs, and we never compete with our clients for work.

Which kinds of painting companies do you work with?

Residential repaint companies, exterior specialists, commercial and industrial coaters, and firms that bid on strata, condo and property-manager work. Owner-operators with one crew and companies running several crews both fit, though the plan looks very different.

How much does it cost?

Trades.Agency plans, which we use, start at $1,999 per month month-to-month, or $1,499 per month on annual billing, plus GST/HST for your province (GST and QST in Quebec). You can cancel with 30 days' notice, and the first 30-minute consultation is free for eligible trades businesses.

Can you promise a certain number of jobs?

No. Nobody honest can. We show you the arithmetic behind a plan, results from our HVAC work that prove the method, and exactly how we will report estimates booked and jobs signed each month.

Do you work in Quebec and the North?

Yes. We work with painters in all 10 provinces and 3 territories. The region pages explain the language rules, seasons and regulators that change how a painter should advertise in each place.
