Every service on this page answers one of three questions: can people find you, do they trust you enough to ask for an estimate, and do you sign enough of those estimates? A painting company that is strong on two of the three and weak on the third should fix the weak one first. Spending more on the strong ones rarely helps.
-
Local search and Google Business Profile for painters
Be the painter homeowners find when they search "house painters near me" from the driveway.
-
Seasonal Google and Meta ads
Spend hardest in the weeks people book exteriors, and pull back before the rain or frost arrives.
-
Portfolio websites for painting companies
A site that shows real finished rooms and elevations, and turns a browse into an estimate request.
-
Estimate pipeline and follow-up
Turn more of the estimates you already drive to into signed jobs on the calendar.
-
Strata, property-manager and commercial marketing
Get on the bid lists for condo repaints, rental turnovers and commercial refreshes.
How to choose: find your weakest number
The fastest way to pick a starting point is to look at last season and fill in three blanks: estimate requests per month, estimates actually run, and jobs signed.
| If this is true | Your weakest link is | Start here |
|---|---|---|
| Few calls or texts, even in spring | Being found | Local search |
| Calls only come when you advertise, and stop when you stop | Visibility you own | Local search, then a portfolio website |
| Plenty of estimates, few signed | Converting quotes | Estimate follow-up |
| Booked solid June to August, idle November to March | Seasonal mix | Seasonal ads and interior offers |
| Residential only, lumpy cash flow | Client mix | Strata and commercial |
Most painters see themselves in two rows. That is normal. We set an order and stick to it rather than doing all five at once.
Local search and Google Business Profile
This is the base layer for almost every residential painter. When a homeowner searches for exterior painters, deck staining or cabinet painting from their phone, the map results and the first few organic listings take most of the calls.
The work covers your Google Business Profile, service-area settings, project photos with honest captions, a steady review request habit, and city or neighbourhood pages that say something real. It is slow to build and cheap to keep. Read the full local search service page.
Seasonal Google and Meta ads
Ads let you buy estimate requests on a schedule. For painters, that schedule matters more than the budget. Spending evenly across 12 months wastes money in the dead weeks and runs out of budget in the weeks when exteriors are being booked.
We plan ad spend around your exterior window, your interior winter offer and your crew capacity, and we track cost per booked estimate rather than cost per click. See seasonal ads.
Portfolio websites for painting companies
A painter's website has one job: convince a stranger that the house in your photos could be their house. That takes real project photos, clear scope (what prep you do, what products you use, how long it takes), and a phone number that is never more than a thumb away.
We build and rebuild websites for painting companies, or fix the one you have. Details on the painting websites page.
Estimate pipeline and follow-up
This is the most overlooked service on the list, and often the most profitable. Every estimate you drive to has already cost fuel, an evening and some marketing money. Signing a few more of them costs almost nothing.
We help you set up a simple pipeline, a follow-up rhythm, quote documents that explain your prep and warranty in plain words, and reporting that shows where quotes go cold. We advise; your team still writes and presents the quotes. See estimate follow-up.
Strata, property-manager and commercial marketing
Residential repaints depend on homeowners' moods and the weather. Strata corporations, condo boards, property managers and commercial owners plan maintenance on budgets and cycles, which can give you work in months homeowners ignore.
This service positions your company for those buyers: a credible capabilities page, insurance and safety information buyers expect to see, a list-building plan, and a way to stay in front of councils and managers between bids. See strata and commercial marketing.
How the services fit together
Think of it in layers. Local search and a sound website are the foundation you own. Ads are a tap you turn on and off. Follow-up decides how much of all that traffic becomes revenue. Strata and commercial work smooth out the year.
Pricing for these combinations is on the pricing page. If you'd rather talk it through, the contact page explains what to send us so the first conversation is useful. Our guides are free to read whether or not you ever call.
Frequently asked questions
Which service should a small painting company start with?
Usually local search and Google Business Profile, because it is the cheapest steady source of estimate requests. If you already get plenty of requests but sign few of them, start with estimate follow-up instead.
Do I need ads if my referrals are strong?
Not always. Referrals are excellent but hard to schedule. Ads are a tap you can open in the weeks your calendar has gaps, then close again, which referrals can't do.
Can you work with the website I already have?
Often, yes. If the site loads quickly, shows real projects and makes it easy to call or text, we improve it rather than replace it. We tell you plainly when a rebuild is cheaper than repairs.
Do you paint or supervise jobs as part of any service?
No. Every service is marketing or business advice. We are not a painting contractor and never handle the work on site.
